Momma June's Meatloaf

This meatloaf is full of heart especially when Momma June makes it for her family of 7 on Valentine's!

Momma June's Meatloaf

Why it's on our list

"Meatloaf is still my favorite dinner" according to Brandon Pierce from Episode 32. Momma June used to make this dish a lot to feed her 5 children but when Valentine's Day came around she would use a special heart shaped pan to celebrate. Nothing says love like a heart shaped meatloaf!

Normally we like to put a sauce on our meatloaf but this one is so flavorful that you don't even need it.

  • 1 lb. each of ground beef, pork and veal

  • 2 eggs

  • 1-2 cups Italian Bread crumbs (Pop likes the 4C brand)

  • Black pepper-to taste

  • Garlic salt (to taste-don't over do)

  • 1T minced onion

  • 2T fresh parsley

  • 2T cold water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Mix everything together, make into a loaf or "Heart" if it is Valentine's Day, put on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr 20 minutes.

Serve with mashed spuds and gravy!

Serve it up!
