Episode 15: Sisters Dish - Boot & Rally & BBQ
On this week’s episode of Sisters Dish, Whitney tells us about her vacay in Louisiana eatin’, drinkin’ and attending her step daughter, Lauren’s wedding! She fills us in on the firehouse extravaganza, her incredible progressive food tour of New Orleans and how she witnessed one tourist boot and rally!
Then the girls sit down with the King of BBQ, Brent Harmon, restaurateur and owner of Dallas’ infamous Sonny Bryan’s BBQ. Listen in as he tells the history of the restaurant, why it’s a Texas institution and what makes that BBQ sauce so damn good!
We also learn that it wasn’t all casual BBQ vibes around Brent’s own dinner table and that even take out was served on the fine china. From BBQ sauce spills to “colossal” onions, we get a sneak peak into the world of one of the most famous BBQ restaurants in the world! There’s no doubt you’ll be craving a chopped brisket sammie and a Shiner Bock after this one! Yee-haw!
