The Odom sibs were all in agreement that this was the best dish their Momma Rita made!

Momma Rita's Alabama Chocolate Pie

Why it's on our list

When Whitney and Courtney talked to the Odom siblings, they had fond memories of laughter around the dinner table and lots of breakfast for dinner. Being raised by a single mom, the meal itself, they recall, was pretty basic but but dessert was where Momma Rita really shined! Her family's chocolate pie recipe which hales from her childhood in Mobile Alabama, was the siblings absolute favorite. According to middle son, David, Momma Rita was able to whip this pie up out of nothing and was so delicious that it often became the main course.
